Safe in our houses and far away,
on a distant shore come what may.
Fighting soldiers dying each day,
they fight to keep this evil away.
Fighting a cause, they hope in time,
will destroy this enemy so sublime.
Support our troops, that we must
our soldiers are dying in the dust.
We need to remember,
they do not surrender.
They fight this fight,
with all their might.
To keep us safe on our shore,
and this evil from our front door.
So let this nation, all, give thanks
to these mighty brave soldiers, fighting in tanks.
They are, after all, our sons and our daughters,
we should give them the honor that we aught to.
It is up to us, this Memorial day,
to remember and pray,
for all our fine soldiers that pass on the way.
